Pilbara Ports Authority marked the inaugural International Day for Women in Maritime by producing a video to share the stories of some of the many women who work for the agency.
From project engineer to marine cadet, there is a huge range of opportunities within the maritime industry.
The PPA video features senior project manager Svetlana Khaykina, principal engineer Lizeth d la Hoz, HMI Precinct General Manager Karlene Bylund, Corporate and Government Affairs Director Deirdra Tindale, and marine cadets Katelyn Arnold and Jeri Ingleton discussing their jobs and the opportunities available.
The first International Day for Women in Maritime — declared by the International Maritime Organisation — was on May 18.
It will be held on this date each year.
