West Coast Fever has partnered with Fortescue as its Principal Partner for the next four seasons.

Fever Chief Executive Officer Simone Hansen joined Fortescue Director and Global Ambassador Elizabeth Gaines to welcome Fortescue to the Green Army.

“Our club has a long association with the WA mining industry, and we are excited to be partnering with a values-driven company like Fortescue,” Ms Hansen said.

“Fortescue is an iconic West Australian headquartered organisation with a strong track record of supporting high performing sporting teams.

“West Coast Fever is looking forward to having Fortescue as part of our Green Army as we strive to climb the Suncorp Super Netball mountain in 2023, beginning with an exciting grand final re-match against Melbourne Vixens at RAC Arena.”

Under the terms of this exciting partnership, Fortescue will also support Netball WA’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Participation and Pathway program.

Ms Gaines said: “From the outset, it has been Fortescue’s vision to ensure that the communities in which we operate benefit from our success. Our financial and operational performance is built on ensuring we empower our team members to strive for excellence in an environment that encourages and celebrates diversity and inclusiveness.

“As Australia’s most popular female team sport, we are extremely excited about the future of netball in WA, and we’re pleased this partnership will help ensure the sport continues to thrive.

“Consistent with our strong commitment to providing opportunities for Aboriginal people, this partnership will also support Netball WA’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Participation and Pathway program, further enabling the sport to grow while boosting the involvement of Aboriginal people.”
