There are two new faces at the Port Hedland Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Tessa Hughes has joined as Economic Development Officer to spearhead the PHCC Economic Development Plan, and Sally Casson has been appointed as Web Business Hub Development Officer.

Progressing the development plan has been made possible because of a partnership with BHP, through its Vital Resources Fund.

Having called Port Hedland her home for the past five years, Tessa has extensive experience in stakeholder engagement and the local commercial market.

She has worked closely with many local businesses and is excited to use her skills to be a part of this project.

PHCCI has appointed RFF and Lucid Economics to develop a practical, action-focused plan to support the growth of the Port Hedland economy.

Over the coming weeks, Tessa and the PHCCI team will continue engaging with local stakeholders to provide insight into the current economic framework of Port Hedland, as well as gaining an understanding of the gaps in our market.

Sally, a Hedland local for six years, has also lived in Karratha, where she was a business development officer) so she knows what local businesses need.

“I can’t wait to chat with as many local businesses, home businesses or those thinking of taking the jump,” Sally said. “I’m really interested I what we at the WEB Hub can do to support and empower you.

“Any ideas on training and support are so welcome and I can’t wait to hear from you all.”

Connect with Tessa by email, tessa@nullphcci.com.au,  and she and Sally can be contacted through the PHCCI, on 9173 1737.
